Laggan Tormore – A Deep Water Challenge

Clear Well Subsea is involved in two support contracts for the prestigious Laggan Tormore project.

Total E&P UK are developing the Laggan and Tormore fields which are located 125km West of the Shetland isles in approximately 600m of water. The commingled, multiphase fluid stream from the fields will be transported to a dedicated Shetland terminal via two 18” production pipelines; processed gas from the terminal will be exported via a 30” pipeline 230km south to tie-in points on the existing Frigg UK (FUKA) pipeline system.

The contracts, in two key areas, are critical to the overall delivery of the project.

“The award of these key contracts builds on our track record of successful package management for our clients and enables Clear Well to consolidate its project teams.

The Hot Tap Tee review and management contract demonstrates our ability to deliver design innovation to a project even after FEED has been complete, whilst the appointment of one of our Senior Consultants to head up the Allseas pipeline installation contract is a big vote of confidence from our client – Total E&P UK” said Keith Evans MD.
